My name is Allison and I am the tie-dye artist and sole creator at Ride Me Dyes in Crested Butte, Colorado. I love creating one-of-a-kind pieces using ice + snow, and especially love when one of my dyes finds their match. Whenever I am dyeing an item, I know that I am making it for somebody, I just don't know who yet. My dyes truly come to life when they are on their person. 

While my technique falls under the umbrella of tie-dye, I specialize in ice + snow dyes. I use professional grade fiber reactive dyes along with melting ice and snow. When the ice melts, the powdered dyes mix and blend as they hit the fabric creating beautiful color splits along with unique visual effects. I place most of my dyes on an incline using gravity to increase the speed and intensity of the color flows. My dyes have movement that is unique to ice dyeing.
